During this 2-4 week rotation, students will be involved in the clinical care of animals, pathology and necropsy of cases, and will also gain some understanding of the various aspects involved in becoming a laboratory animal veterinarian.
Students will also participate in seminars, pathology rounds, and journal club/study group activities with our residents to expose them to residency training. Other activities include handling and restraint classes, exposure to designing an animal facility, and presenting at the end of the rotation on a topic selected by the student.
