Hi, I'm Tim- my family and I own Richardson Animal Hospital, a small animal practice in Ravenna, Ohio, and we’re looking for another veterinarian to join us. We’re independently owned, and I’m really hoping to find someone who wants to be part of a practice where you can enjoy coming to work, practice good medicine, and still have a life outside of veterinary medicine.

I’m pretty flexible when it comes to scheduling. Full-time, part-time, shorter shifts, certain days of the week — I’m open to having a conversation about what would work well for both of us. There are no after-hours responsibilities and no on-call. When you leave work, I want you to be able to go home and enjoy your evening.

We’ve recently updated our facility and have a full in-house lab, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and cloud-based electronic medical records. We have what we need to practice good quality medicine, but we’re also not the kind of place where someone is looking over your shoulder telling you how you have to practice.

The thing I’m probably most proud of is our staff. We have a really good group of people, many of whom have been with us for a long time. They’re experienced, dependable, and genuinely care about the practice and each other. I think having a team like that makes a huge difference, especially in veterinary medicine.

I’m not necessarily looking for someone with a certain number of years of experience or trying to find the “perfect” resume. I’d much rather find someone who is a good fit, enjoys working with people, cares about their patients, and wants to be part of a practice where they’re actually valued.
