Urgent Veterinary Care of Santa Barbara is seeking a full time, experienced veterinarian to join our team. UVC has been open for over 3 years in a beautifully remodeled space in a highly desirable location in Santa Barbara. We are Santa Barbara’s only urgent care for pets and are a busy practice, beloved by the community. We are looking for a candidate to share responsibility with the hospital owner to provide 7 day a week coverage (ideally working 4 days a week but open to 3-5).  

The hospital is owned by Dr. Addie Crawford who was born and raised in Santa Barbara and has worked emergency in the area for the past 7 years prior to opening the urgent care. We strive to create a family environment at UVC and are committed to furthering education and career development. 

Our ideal candidate would have emergency or urgent care experience and can handle a high caseload while providing high level of medical care. Major surgery not required.   

Responsibilities include:

-  Seeing patients for walk in consults 

-  Complete records within a timely manner 

-  Follow up with clients regarding lab results 

-  Maintain excellent client satisfaction 

-  Teach staff on matters pertaining to care of the urgent care 

-  Collaborate professionally and pleasantly with coworkers 

-  Lead the urgent care team when on duty to maintain the highest level of medicine, customer service, and professionalism
