At River Oaks Animal Hospital, we built something a little different.
We are a growing hybrid General Practice + Urgent Care hospital located in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina — and we’ve developed a reputation for being one of the best veterinary hospitals in the area. Because of that reputation, our urgent care department has exploded, and we are looking for an additional veterinarian to join our Urgent Care team.
This is the perfect opportunity for a doctor who:
- Loves the adrenaline and variety of urgent/emergency medicine
- Enjoys procedures, diagnostics, and medical workups
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- BUT… does not want overnights, weekends, or soul-crushing ER schedules

Our hospital closes at 5:30 PM daily, and we are closed on weekends and major holidays.

Requirements
We are looking for a veterinarian who is confident, compassionate, team-oriented, and excited about practicing high-quality medicine in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Required Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Eligible for South Carolina veterinary licensure
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication and client education skills
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care
- Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
- Comfortable managing urgent and emergent cases
- Willingness to continue learning and growing clinically

- Enjoys urgent care, emergency medicine, and medical workups

- Comfortable with diagnostics, interpretation of radiographs, and treatment planning

Experience Level
- Emergency or urgent care experience is a plus
