Catskill Veterinary Services is seeking a full-time General Practice Veterinarian with opportunities to incorporate mixed animal work. This position is ideal for new graduates (Class of 2024–2026) and early-career veterinarians who want strong mentorship, real clinical growth, and long-term career development.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
Structured Mentorship
Hands-on training in dentistry (including extractions), soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine. You will build confidence at a pace that supports long-term success.
GP + ER + Advanced Care Access
Practice primary care while having direct access to Emergency and Advanced Care teams. Collaborate on complex cases or transfer internally when needed. You are never practicing alone.
Mixed Animal Flexibility
Opportunities available for farm calls, large animal work, or hybrid scheduling. Maintain and grow your mixed animal skillset if desired.
Built-In Career Path
Opportunities to grow into emergency medicine, advanced care, leadership, or specialized clinical interests without leaving the organization.
Veterinarian-Owned Practice
Medical decisions are made by veterinarians. We prioritize quality medicine, sustainable scheduling, and a supportive work environment.
COMPENSATION
Base Salary: $100,000 – $200,000 (based on experience and schedule)
Production Bonus: No negative accrual
Strong earning potential supported by efficient workflow and case exposure
SUPPORT STAFF
Work alongside Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) and experienced assistants.
Technicians handle technical responsibilities so you can focus on medicine and client communication.
FACILITY EXPANSION

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
DVM or VMD degree (or upcoming graduate)
Eligible for or currently licensed in New York State
Strong communication skills
