Beacon Emergency Veterinary Hospital is seeking experienced ER veterinarians, strong general practitioners looking to transition into emergency medicine, and mentorship-focused new graduates for our newest privately owned 24/7 emergency hospital opening in Land O’ Lakes, Florida.
This is an opportunity to help build Beacon’s third emergency hospital alongside a veterinarian-led leadership team that believes excellent medicine and genuine support for doctors should coexist. Beacon has rapidly grown into one of the Tampa Bay region’s leading privately owned emergency veterinary groups by building hospitals centered around strong nursing support, advanced equipment, mentorship, accessibility to leadership, and a people-focused culture.

What the Role Offers

What You’ll Have at Beacon Land O’ Lakes
Beacon Land O’ Lakes is being built as a fully equipped critical care hospital from day one. Doctors will have the support and equipment needed to practice at a high level, including:
- Blood products, anti-venom, and a fully stocked pharmacy
- Complete in-house laboratory with digital cytology
- Digital radiography with board-certified radiologist reports
- Ultrasound and endoscopy capabilities
- Fully equipped surgical suite with cautery, LigaSure, and TA/GA staplers
- CT imaging with board-certified radiologist interpretation
- Collaboration with boarded specialists on advanced cases
- An experienced nursing team trained in advanced critical care
Growth & Development
We welcome experienced ER doctors, strong new graduates, and general practitioners transitioning into emergency medicine. Beacon has successfully helped mentor doctors in emergency medicine, surgery, endoscopy, ER workflow, and critical care. Our goal is to provide an environment where veterinarians feel supported, challenged, and able to continue growing throughout their careers.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
- Florida veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to practicing high-quality medicine with compassion and professionalism
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Emergency medicine experience
- Surgical or procedural experience
- Interest in critical care, ultrasound, surgery, or endoscopy
- Comfort working in a collaborative, team-oriented hospital environment
- Interest in mentorship, leadership, and continued professional growth
