Penryn Pet Hospital is seeking an associate veterinarian to join our veterinarian-owned, four-doctor practice in the heart of the Sierra Nevada foothills.
Conveniently located just off Interstate 80, our well-respected general practice serves a diverse community and offers a growing range of rehabilitation services. Our hospital opened in 2024 and was thoughtfully designed to support excellent patient care and a comfortable experience for clients and staff.

Our rehabilitation services include shockwave therapy, cold laser therapy, acupuncture, underwater treadmill therapy, and therapeutic joint injections. Requirements
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution
Current California veterinary license, or eligibility to obtain one
Commitment to compassionate, high-quality, evidence-based medicine
Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues
Sound clinical judgment and a willingness to seek input when appropriate
Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client-service staff
Professional, dependable, and respectful approach to patient and client care
Interest in continuing education and ongoing professional development
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in small-animal general practice, including preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery
Confidence managing routine appointments, urgent cases, and hospitalized day patients
