Requirements
What You'll Need
- DVM/VMD Degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in companion animal practice.
- Valid Colorado Veterinary License in good standing.
- USDA Accreditation, DEA License & Professional Liability Insurance.
- The "Meadows Mindset": Active listening, critical thinking, and the emotional maturity to handle the pressures of a busy clinical environment with poise and tact.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Diagnostic Precision: The role demands sharp sensory awareness—from the manual dexterity needed for intricate surgeries to the visual and auditory acuity required for high-level auscultation and clinical observation.
- Dynamic Mobility: Our facility is designed for ergonomic efficiency, but the role requires the physical resilience to remain active on hospital tile flooring for up to 12 hours. Capacity to perform a wide range of physical motions throughout the day, including bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and reaching overhead.
- Environmental Alertness: You must maintain high alertness for patient behavior and environmental safety while remaining resilient to the noise and odors inherent in a high-volume, high-care facility.
- Clinical Stamina: Resilience in an environment with exposure to noise, gas anesthesia, and medical chemicals (safety equipment provided).
- Patient Handling: Intermittent restraint of patients weighing up to 200 pounds and the ability to lift animals up to 50 pounds independently.
- Fine Motor Precision: High-level manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for delicate tasks such as surgery, fine manipulation, and grasping specialized equipment.
