Associate Veterinarian in practice with excellent team and community reputation!
Description
Practice Highlights:
Nordhoff Veterinary Hospital is a thriving, independently-owned, AAHA accredited, small animal facility in Chatsworth, CA committed to practicing advanced medicine with honesty and kindness.
We have a superb reputation in the community, recently awarded with Newsweek's America's Best Animal Hospitals 2026 and our clients show how much they love us by making us the highest rated practice on Google and Yelp in the area.
Drs. Nicoleta Popescu (University of Missouri-Columbia, 2000), Dr. Lucy Cohen (Atlantic Veterinary College, 2013) and Dr. Haleh Golestani (UC Davis, 2022) are supported by energetic, kind technicians, a high support staff to vet ratio (4 FTE to 1 DVM) with several RVTs and the practice is managed by a CVPM.
As a small company, we value contributions to advancing the standard of care and welcome ideas that keep our medicine up-to-date and modern. Our experienced team work collaboratively with our clients for the best care of our wonderful patients.
About the opportunity:
We are looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian as an additional doctor for the Nordhoff Veterinary team. The right candidate will be met with a manageable patient load and a 4-day per week workweek that supports work-life balance for our entire team.

Who We Are:
At Nordhoff Veterinary Hospital, we’ve been independently owned and rooted in our community for over 15 years. That independence matters—it allows us to make decisions based on what’s best for our patients, our clients, and our team, not corporate metrics.
We believe great medicine starts with great people. We hire carefully, invest heavily in our team’s growth, and create an environment where people want to stay. Our team includes Certified Veterinary Assistants, RVTs, and a CVPM, and we actively support continued education, skill development, and career advancement. The result is strong retention and a cohesive, experienced team that genuinely enjoys working together.
What drives us every day is impact. We’re here to make a real difference—in our patients’ lives and in the people who love them. That shows up in how we practice medicine, how we communicate with clients, and how we support each other. Our clients trust us as partners in their pets’ care, and we take that responsibility seriously.
Our hospital is equipped with modern tools (digital radiography, ultrasound, dental X-ray, and more) and designed with a spacious, functional layout that supports efficient, high-quality care. We are also supported by mobile specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Cardiology, allowing us to provide convenient access to advanced specialty care when our cases require it.
If you’re looking for a place where your work matters, your team is solid, and your voice is heard, you’ll fit in well here.
