About this role

Build your neurology career with a 1.5T MRI and CT on site, a surgical team and anesthesiologist down the hall, and a service that is growing on purpose. PASE is adding a second neurologist to our Neurology service, with a start date in July or August 2027.

Philadelphia Animal Specialty & Emergency (PASE) is a privately owned, 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in the heart of Philadelphia. Our Neurology service already has strong demand from our ER and referral community. This role lets you grow that service alongside an established colleague and help shape how it runs.

Why neurologists choose PASE

Advanced imaging without the wait. A 1.5T MRI and CT in-house, plus digital radiology and a dedicated imaging room, so your diagnostic plan moves at the pace your patients need.
A full neurosurgical setup. Two surgical suites, multi-parameter anesthetic monitoring, a board-certified anesthesiologist, and experienced surgeons for collaborative cases.
A partner, not a solo practice. You will share cases, ideas, and coverage with our current neurologist, so days off can truly be days off.
Specialists across the hospital. Emergency & Critical Care (24 hours), Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Anesthesia, Ophthalmology, and Diagnostic Imaging work together on complex patients.
A service you help build. As the second neurologist, you will have a real voice in caseload, workflows, and how Neurology grows at PASE.
Production upside with a safety net. Base salary plus production, with a production bonus paid every 4 weeks when you exceed target and no penalty when you don't.

Finishing residency? This timeline was built for you.

We welcome board-eligible neurologists and will support your transition into practice:

  • A structured onboarding plan with a gradual build to a full caseload
  • Daily collaboration with an experienced neurologist and our broader specialty team
  • Support as you prepare for board certification, including CE allowance and PTO for CE
  • Help with Pennsylvania licensure and relocation planning ahead of your start date

What you'll do

  • Diagnose and manage neurologic cases referred by primary care veterinarians and our ER, using MRI, and CT
  • Perform neurosurgical procedures with the support of our anesthesia and surgical teams
  • Partner with specialists and referring veterinarians to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Work closely with your technicians and assistants to deliver clear, compassionate communication to pet owners
  • Contribute to education through in-house training, CE lectures for our referral community, and teaching opportunities
