NORWALK ANIMAL HOSPITAL – Associate Veterinarian Job Description
Norwalk Animal Hospital, located in beautiful Fairfield County, Connecticut, is seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our small animal practice. We are a three doctor practice with a 4:1 staff to doctor ratio. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in medicine, be client-oriented with strong client communication skills, and be a dedicated, enthusiastic team player. Our hospital stresses preventative care, exceptional workups and treatments, advanced diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, behavior, nutritional counseling, and boarding.

-Doctors will have an exam room technician with them in the room for every exam and surgical technicians working with them for every surgery/dentistry. Our technical staff is experienced and highly supportive.
-Our exams are 30 minutes long to allow ample time for client communication and education. Client relationships are a big part of our core values.
-Our daily schedule has built in buffers and lunch blocks to allow time for notes, phone calls, catch-up and to reduce burn out.
-We use Impromed software, electronic files, and utilize laptops for staff and doctors.
-Our staff is encouraged to grow professionally and there are abundant opportunities for CE, on-site “lunch and learn” presentations, and involvement in community outreach programs.
-Location, Location, Location! Norwalk Connecticut is a shoreline town with a population of 90,000. We have an abundance of diverse restaurants and nightlife. Beaches, several parks, hiking and biking trails are all within town. Fairfield County has an abundance of award-winning schools. We are located 40 miles from New York City, easily accessible by car or train in an hour.
-We have a strong mentoring program for new graduates. Our onboarding experience is customizable based on individual expertise and comfort level. We provide the level of support and feedback you would like. There are monthly doctor-only meetings where cases and new methodologies are discussed. New and recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
-Our compensation package is VERY competitive and tailored to the needs of the individual associate.
Salary: range starting from $150,000+ per year.

Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
Possess a CT Veterinary License, or ability to attain one
A positive and friendly demeanor and a passion for Vet Medicine.
